Coming back years later to say my legs are still doing great! (I had left a review below a long awhile ago) I have had no issues since my ablation to take care of bulging varicose veins. She offered several recommendations and conservative options. Excellent vein care! Dr. Bartel and her staff are very professional compassionate and caring. I waited ten years to finally be able to have my veins taken care of. I had leg pain, heaviness and bulging veins which I inherited. I am so thankful to have found Dr. Bartel. From the moment I met her she made me feel very cared for and I knew she would do everything she could to resolve my vein problems. I had both of my legs done and they both feel so much better. A very huge plus for me is that my legs both look better too! No more ugly bulging veins! 5 stars for Doc and her team! I cannot say enough about my great experience, from beginning to end. Dr. Bartel was personable and explained exactly what my circumstances were and how she was going to remedy them. Doc preformed vein ablation and scleratherapy in April 2021, and since then,I’ve had no more pain in my legs, and I feel confident wearing shorts again. All of the staff is friendly and made me feel very comfortable over the duration of my visits, and eased my nervousness during my procedures. I highly recommend Lakeshore Veins!

I have been suffering with issues in my lower legs for years. I've been to several doctors for chronic pain, swelling, itching, spider veins, varicose veins and recurring infections. Previous doctors attempted to treat the superficial symptoms, with limited success. I had nearly accepted that these issues were going to be with me for life. I had become too embarrassed to wear shorts. Then I was referred to Lakeshore Veins. Dr. Bartel, Jenny and the rest of their staff have been nothing short of amazing! They promptly diagnosed the root cause of my issues and for the first time I felt hope that relief was possible. Everything was explained in great detail, from my first visit through my procedure and beyond. Dr. Bartel and Jenny took the time to offer reassurance and answer any questions along the way. Nothing was ever rushed and I felt completely at ease throughout my experience. In fact, between my ultrasound and my initial procedure, I had the misfortune of an injury to my ankle in an area where my symptoms were the worst. Jenny went above and beyond, checking on me outside of normal business hours. She then made sure my procedure was scheduled as soon as possible to help ease the severe pain in my ankle. After merely my first procedure, the pain and swelling in my ankle was gone! I can't wait to see how things progress as I finally begin to heal from years of damage. I would highly recommend Lakeshore Vein to anybody. This has been the best medical experience I have ever had!

I made an appointment at Lakeshore Veins because I was having problems with my leg, and it was the BEST decision I have ever made. I was a bit nervous but upon entering I was immediately put at ease by Leah at the front desk, she was fantastic. When I was called in, Jenny, and Joy completely diagnosed my problem, and passed the info on to Dr. Bartel. Dr. Bartel explained everything to me in wonderful detail, laid out a plan, and soon my issues will be taken care of. If you have any vein issues this is DEFINITELY the place to go. Thank you Dr. Bartel, and your amazing staff for everything you did...you are all 5 stars for sure. One last thing I had some questions, and Melissa handled them with ease. An awesome place for sure!!!

I am very satisfied with the evaluation and treatment that I received at Lakeshore Veins. Dr. Anne Bartel and staff are very competent as well as welcoming and understanding! I spent quite a while seeking help before finding them, as I had bi-lateral, severely incompetent Greater Saphenous Veins, as well as DVT issues, one very extensive, in my left leg. At some point, the DVT dissolved, so I was able to have Radio Frequecy Ablation for the CVI. I had pain, swelling and itching, and could not find relief. I had seen several Vein Specialists, and was evaluated at Mayo Clinic in the Vascular Clinic, earlier this year, and was told then that the extensive DVT was gone, and they recommended Horse Chestnut supplementation, as well as possible Chemical Ablation, and doing research on that is what led me to Dr Bartel and Lakeshore Veins. I like it very much that Dr Bartel uses Ultra Sound to evaluate the progress of healing and any inflammation present. I received treatment in Mid-May this year, and just had my one month follow-up appointment. The pain is mostly gone, the itching is mostly gone, and the swelling is gone, plus I am in knee-high stockings, instead of thigh highs! And I look down and recognize my legs once again!! Yay! I trust Dr Bartel to do what needs to be done, but NOT MORE! Thank you, Dr. Bartel and staff...Jen, Jody, Joy and Palmira!

People from other medical providers should come and watch these professionals and learn from them.I initially went for a consultation with Dr. Bartel, unsure of what outcomes I could expect. My previous vein doctor was unable to provide me with any recommendations to relieve the long-standing and almost intolerable pain that I was experiencing. I was left feeling that no relief would ever be available to me.I was hesitant as I approached my initial visit to Lakeshore veins. The welcoming atmosphere immediately made me feel at ease and confident that help was on its way. After the preliminary ultrasound, Dr. Bartel provided a thorough explanation of the vein system and identified the exact location and cause of the pain I was experiencing. She identified the intervention options to me and assured me that I would experience a very positive outcome.Her professional expertise, confidence, compassion and kindness helped to ease my fears. I immediately felt confident and scheduled my needed procedure. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Bartel and her staff at Lakeshore Veins!I am a young female who was previously told there was nothing that could be done to the varicose veins that had begun in both my legs, besides the traditional usage of support stockings to assist in relieving the heaviness and pain. The stockings only masked my symptoms without taking care of the underlying problem.I decided to take matters into my own hands and researched other treatments as I feared my condition worsening. I stumbled across Lakeshore Veins and my life changed! A consult with ultrasound revealed just how poorly my legs were returning circulation from my legs to my heart. Dr. Bartel assured me she could do a simple procedure (radiofrequency ablation of the saphenous vein) that would ultimately remove the heaviness and also unsightly vein bulging from my legs. They worked quickly to get me in before the end of the year and I got both legs done within a day of each other.The ablation procedure was relatively quick and painless. I was even cleared to return to work after both procedures. Recovery was very tolerable and quick.It has now been 2 years post procedure and my legs are still doing great! Pain, heaviness and swelling are gone, and the confidence I have in how my legs look is immeasurable! No more unsightly vein bulging!If you are waiting to put off taking care of the varicose veins in your legs, I ask that you please reconsider! Outstanding professional and compassionate care! Dr. Bartel's thoroughness and expertise quickly identified I had a rare syndrome at my first visit which several specialists I had seen had missed altogether. Sounds a bit silly, but Dr. Bartel and staff were so welcoming and caring, I felt like the entire purpose of the clinic was to be there just to care for me. Excellent doctor, treatment, service. Staff and doctor were great to deal with. Doctor gave unbiased recommendations (I'm in a similar field so I know a little about it). She was very willing to work with me and my specific needs. I had no complications and results were excellent with no more leg pain. I have a friend I advised to not go to a different vein "specialist" in the metro area and my friend ended up with complications and unhappy. I was very happy with Dr. Bartel.
